I had the honor of driving the amazing new 2025 BMW M3 Touring xDrive. What a stunning car it remains to drive. I probably don’t need to go into detail about the oh-so-striking grille, though I must admit, it has grown on me, and I secretly think it looks good. The car itself is both sporty and surprisingly comfortable at the same time. Although the average owner probably won’t drive it in a «comfortable» manner, it is certainly possible.
The adrenaline rushes through your body the moment you step on the gas, launching you into your seat with the sheer speed of this beast. You’re quickly tempted to drive sportily, the handling is incredible, making sharp corners a joy. And even with xDrive, the rear end still occasionally steps out, delivering that oh-so-familiar BMW experience. Of course, you can switch to full rear-wheel drive mode, but with the typical bad weather in the Netherlands (which was also the case on the day of my drive), it’s reassuring to be able to push this race machine safely in xDrive mode!
I think the most common excuse for choosing the Touring is calling it a «family car.» Of course, no one really needs this much power in a family car, but who cares? It’s absolutely fantastic. Jokes aside, whether you see it as a family car or not, in this segment, the M3 Touring is an incredibly practical car. It allows you to go about your daily life while still delivering that thrilling BMW driving experience, exactly why true BMW fans were so excited about the Touring model.
The car itself:
Model BMW: M3 Touring
Body type: Estate cars
Available fuel types: Petrol
Horsepower: 530
Torque 650
Acceleration (0-100 kmph) : 3.5 – 3.6 s
